It’s no secret, we are extremely fond of mountain venues, but spending the day celebrating our couple Kailey and Kade amongst the evergreens was an absolute dream come true.

North Star Gatherings is an exclusive, luxury venue that sits atop a ridge in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Not only do you have the Colorado Rocky Mountains to yourself as you dance the night away, the views from ALL angles are beyond breathtaking (and I am not just talking about the altitude).

This location was nothing short of perfection for Kailey and Kade’s celebration. We used the natural backdrop as a basis for the design and incorporated their color palette of beige, gold, and terracotta tones to accent the surrounding mountain terrain, along with green and white touches to add a sophisticated, modern feel.

Though we were surprised with a midday rain shower during the ceremony, mother nature decided to repay us with a stunning rainbow over the evergreens shortly after. Nothing a rainbow can’t fix.

You can have a simple and luxurious elopement in the desert, trust us. And if you’re planning to ditch a traditional wedding and elope, make sure you go big and do it exactly how you want to. Bring us along for the ride, you won’t regret it.

Our mission is to incorporate the unique qualities of the couple’s relationship into their wedding design. To some couples that means a lively celebration, dancing late into the night with 200 of their favorite people. To others, it means simply escaping, to a secluded mountain venue in the middle of Colorado to exchange vows. For Kailey and Kade, they were able to get the best of both worlds, celebrating with their friends and family from all over the United States.
